Marina del Pilar reaffirms her commitment with the working class of Baja California

The governor claimed this at the XV Congreso Nacional de la Confederación Autónoma de Trabajadores y Empleados de México (CATEM)

The governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, reaffirmed the commitment by the state government with supporting the working class of Baja California as the working class is the main driving force of development in the country and because their needs require comprehensive assistance. She shared this during her attendance at the 15th National Congress of the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM).

At this event, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the national coordinator of the Defense Committees of the Fourth Transformation, was present as a special guest and she offered a message of support for this organization that unites thousands of workers and employees in Mexico.

Marina del Pilar highlighted the unity of Fourth Transformation administrations and CATEM, as it is a priority of these governments to give priority to the needs of workers regarding social and health matters and ensure all of their rights.

In addition, she spoke about the President of Mexico Andrés Manuel López Obrador's decision to boost substantial minimum wage increases in the northern border so that it has reached 400 daily pesos, which has positively affected the economy of millions of homes.

"I congratulate my dear friend Pedro Haces for his commitment with the defense of workers’ rights. I am sure that under his management, CATEM will continue to contribute to obtain achievements for the workers of Mexico," the state governor said regarding the leader of this union organization.

At this event the following people were present: the national leader of the MORENA party, Mario Delgado Carrillo; the governor of Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama; the governor of Michoacán, Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, and former senator Ricardo Monreal, who all expressed their commitment with boosting better conditions for the workers of Mexico, following the social principles of the Fourth Transformation.
