Good news for Tijuana natives, especially those who prefer using the Tijuana-San Ysidro PedWest port of entry: it has been announced that this port of entry has begun operations once again starting on Thursday, November 16.

"This is great timing - with holiday shopping ramping up, as well as extended holiday work hours for our retailers and in light of horrendous southbound vehicle waits we're seeing now on a daily basis!", stated San Ysidro Improvement Corporation Board President Jennifer Goudeau.

At which times is PedWest open?

According to a statement by CBP Director of Field Operations for San Diego, Sidney Aki, PedWest will reopen on Thursday, November 16 with its previous and limited working hours from 6 AM to 2 PM.

So, if you're thinking of crossing to San Diego but long lines are discouraging you, this reopening means that there will be faster lines during these aforementioned hours.
