There are many exciting activities in Tijuana that will take place this Christmas month! If you still don't have any plans, here are some of the main events of the season. Which ones will you go to?

Santa vs the Snowman

The film “Santa vs. the Snowman” is one of the many available films at Centro Cultural Tijuana this December.

This is an animated film where these two characters fight to see who can deliver the most presents and joy to all the children of the world on the very early morning of Christmas. An unmissable classic for children and adults.

  • Date: Throughout all of December, from Tuesday to Sunday.
  • Time: 6:00 pm.
  • Location: IMAX Dome at Centro Cultural Tijuana.
  • Price: $60 pesos for adults and $40 pesos for children.

Coca-Cola Caravan

The Coca-Cola caravan is back to provide joy to all families who will be able to celebrate Christmas with a show full of decorated trucks, floats with colorful lights, a giant polar bear, and dancers and acrobats.

This caravan has become one of the city's most awaited activities which, besides uniting families, promotes values through magical moments and its motto, "Magic is to give."

  • Date: Saturday, December 9
  • Place: The route will begin at Paseo del Río and end at Avenida Canadá.
  • Time: 6:00 pm.

Emprendedor Fest

Emprendedor Fest comes back with its 11th edition, gathering together more than 400 entrepreneurs that are offering their products and services so that the community can find everything they need for Christmas.

Get your presents and support local entrepreneurs as you will find jewelry, accessories, desserts, toys, clothes, and much more. Enjoy a family friendly and pet friendly environment. There will be live entertainment, delicious gastronomic options, and many more surprises.

Attendants will be able to take pictures with Santa Claus and The Grinch for free.

  • Date: Saturday, December 9 and Sunday, December 10
  • Place: Terrace at Centro Cultural Tijuana
  • Time: from 12:00 to 8:00 pm

The Nutcracker

Centro Cultural Tijuana invites you to a magical ballet show with the classic "The Nutcracker" which will have more than 50 artists on stage, and dancers from Cuba, the US, and Mexico, from the acclaimed Escuela de Danza Gloria Campobello.

The Nutcracker is one of the most celebrated classic ballets in the world, especially during Christmas. This popular Christmas tale tells the story of Clara who receives a toy soldier shaped nutcracker which comes to life.

This amazing production has beautiful set design and costumes to capture the magic of the story.

  • Date: Saturday, December 9
  • Time: 3:00 PM and 7:00 pm
  • Location: Show room at CECUT
  • Prices: $300 and $400 pesos (Tickets available only at the ticket booth, only a few seats remain)

Train ride and light parade

An excellent option for this season is a train ride to Tecate where you'll be able to enjoy time away from the city with delicious pastries and a Christmas lights parade.

The train is Christmas themed and will offer beautiful views of the landscape and ecological reserves while you enjoy snacks, drinks, and surprises.

  • Prices: $550 per person and it includes:

Daniel Boaventura in concert

The Brazilian singer comes back to Tijuana with his concert "Best Part of the Show Tour" where it is expected he includes some Christmas carols and songs he has sung throughout his career such as "All I Want for Christmas Is You", with Bryan Behr; "White Christmas/Natal Branco", with Ivete Sangalo; and "Un Año Más", with Camila Fernández, daughter of El Potrillo, part of his EP “Christmas is Coming…” released in 2021.

This should be a concert full of energy and passion as it is expected from this performer!

Christmas Dreams Experience

A place that stands out due to its dazzling decoration and more than 125,000 colorful lights throughout its 1-hour tour. You'll be able to enjoy an incredible Christmas atmosphere with more than 30 spots and lights so you can take your best pictures.

Children will be able to make a wish list for Santa Claus and visit the Christmas village. This place has a 7-meter giant Christmas tree and other kinds of decorations such as snowmen, reindeer, and ornaments with lights.

  • Date: Available until December 31
  • Time: From 5 PM to 9 PM on selected days.
  • Location: St. Andrew School, located at Colonia América, Gobernador Ibarra #9730
  • Prices: General admission: $270 pesos, children 5 years of age or younger: $150 pesos.

Ruta del Maíz

Take your Christmas pictures at Ruta del Maíz, a place full of magical decorations, lights, and poinsettias.

This experience has different photo sets and immersive spaces that you can enjoy with your family.

Some of the things that will be part of this experience are: a gingerbread Christmas village, light shows and decorations, flower gardens, areas for photos, Santa Claus' house, photos with the Grinch, animal farms, and many more surprises.

Enjoy delicious Christmas meals and winter drinks such as hot chocolate, coffee, and a variety of desserts.

  • Date: From December 2 to December 31 with the following hours:

Monday and Tuesday: closed.
Thursday, Thursday, and Friday: 10 AM to 4 PM (no reservation is required)
Saturday and Sunday: 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM (reservation is required)

  • Location: Ruta del Maíz in Tijuana.
  • Price: $160 pesos

Western Christmas

Western Christmas offers a Wild West experience with the magic of Christmas: an unmissable place with unique stages, lights, photo spots, and activities for the whole family.

It has a traditional Christmas village, themed sets, and a variety of activities for children such as an interactive farm, a letterbox for letters and photos with Santa, a playground area, bouncing castles, and pony rides.

  • Dates: December 9,10, 16, and 17
  • Location: Rancho Casian
  • Time: 1:00 PM and 8:00 pm
  • Prices: $180 pesos per child and $150 per adult. Children 3 years of age or younger will be admitted for free.

Vergel Navideño

Albercas El Vergel brings to us its Christmas village for the first time with precious lights decorating every attraction so you can take your pictures. Enjoy locations where you'll find The Grinch, the Nutcracker, Santa Claus, and a Christmas tree.

You'll also be able to find a skating rink! To rent skates with lights you can pay an additional $50 pesos, but if you have your own, you can be admitted for free.

Children and adults can also get on its famous slides and throw themselves off a sledge decorated with lights. There's also a carrousel and mechanical games.

  • Dates: Monday to Sunday, until December 30.
  • Location: Albercas El Vergel
  • Time: 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
  • General admission: $150 pesos per person.

Christmas Skate Night

Create amazing and fun memories when skating with the Christmas celebrations at CEART Tijuana, which includes special shows, food, hot beverages, lights, and workshops so that kids can make their own Christmas boots, ornaments, and brooches.

  • Date: Saturday, December 16
  • Location: Plaza de las Artes at CEART Tijuana
  • Time: 4:00 PM and 8:00 pm
  • Price: Admission price is $50 pesos and renting skates also costs $50 pesos.

Christmas Bazaar

This event is organized by Mercadito Bazar in Casa de la Cultura. It is perfect for last minute Christmas shopping as you'll find several different options for your loved ones.

More than 50 entrepreneurs are expected to be here with Christmas gifts for sale. There will be a Christmas stage for pictures and other surprises for the whole family and your pets.

  • Date: Casa de la Cultura at Playas de Tijuana
  • Time: 10 am to 5 pm
  • Free admission
