Mayor Montserrat Caballero continues to transform Tijuana and inaugurates new paving project

The mayor claimed that government programs and infrastructure projects to guarantee the wellbeing of the city will continue

The mayor of Tijuana, Montserrat Caballero Ramírez, led the inauguration of the new paving project at Calle Fray Francisco Palou in Colonia Salvatierra, where citizens of the San Antonio de los Buenos delegation joined her and expressed their support.

Caballero Ramírez has carried out infrastructure projects since the beginning of the 24th Municipal Administration of Tijuana. On this occasion, she provided paved roads in a vulnerable zone, from federal resources of Ramo 33 and after a request by the area's residents.

The mayor claimed that, despite this being the end of the year, government programs and infrastructure projects won't be stopped. On the contrary, they will continue working to transform Tijuana, thanks to a good management of resources and commitment with the community.

"I ask you, which other administrations were paving roads during this month? None of them. They said that they didn't have money anymore, that they couldn't do it, but we continue to do projects, paving, and for me, it is super important that we do this with hydraulic concrete because when you give something, it has to be high quality," Caballero Ramírez said.

She added that all projects and programs have an inclusive perspective, where everyone will benefit "because it is very important to have an inclusive government, in December, that continues to do projects."

The project at Calle Fray Francisco Palou consists of 4,430 square meters of pavement with hydraulic concrete with an investment of 5 million pesos from Ramo 33 resources. It will directly impact 2,000 neighbors and all citizens who travel on this road.

Caballero Ramírez also recognized the participation of citizens to finalize these projects as they facilitate their daily use and the appreciation of their properties. People, meanwhile, thanked the mayor's support and her positive response to their requests, and they reiterated their support for this administration.

The Secretary of Territory, Urban, and Environmental Development of Tijuana, Juan Enrique Bautista Corona, explained that this project is part of the 207 projects that mayor Montserrat Caballero has carried out in the second year of her administration. In addition, there are the 39 projects part of Ramo 33 with an investment of almost 350 million pesos.
