SENTRI lane flooded by rain; authorities recommend not going out

Municipal and state agencies recommend not going out if it is not necessary

Rain on Monday, January 22, has caused floods in several road lanes, among them the ones at the border crossing.

Specifically, the SENTRI lane at the San Ysidro port of entry. Users have reported that water has risen to levels that make driving through impossible.

The SENTRI lane, located in Bulevar Padre Kino, with an intersection at Avenida Alfonso Reyes with 3rd Street, is currently impassable.

Authorities recommend not going out unless it is absolutely necessary, in order to prevent accidents and putting people's lives at risk.

Rains cause delay for people returning to Tijuana from San Diego

Users have reported delays caused by rain on their way to Tijuana from San Diego, after the water levels increased considerably. So far, no material or human losses have been reported.

Rain will continue until Tuesday

According to weather forecasts, rain, though moderate, will continue all throughout Monday, January 22. On Tuesday, showers will continue but they will be less intense. However, it is expected that temperatures drop.
