The best handicrafts from Mexico and the world will be available this weekend at Playas de Rosarito in the 8th edition that will take place in the state

Baja California is one of the most privileged spots in the country due to its multicultural wealth. Citizens from all over the world live together every day in the different municipalities of the state, creating an atmosphere that one cannot experience anywhere else in Mexico.

As a reflection of this, this Friday, March 15, the inauguration of the 8th edition of the 2024 International TlaquepArte Exhibition took place in Playas de Rosarito. Its 100th edition overall, this exhibition brings you the best handicrafts, items, and jewels from all over the world.

More than 200 exhibitors from several different countries such as Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Cuba, Guatemala, Paraguay, Ecuador, Turkey, Kenya, India, Greece, Egypt, among others, were present during the symbolic ribbon cutting ceremony that officially kickstarted the event.

Besides the great variety of artisans from all over the world, artisans and artists from different Mexican states are also participating. For example, during this edition, visitors will be able to find Mata Ortiz ceramics from Chihuahua, beautiful boxes from Olinalá, Guerrrero, silver from Taxco, and original clothes and leather from Jalisco.

Among international sellers you will find traditional Turkish mosaic lamps and tea with utensils to make it and serve it; delicious and intense coffee from Colombia; Russian costume jewelry; clothes from Egypt made from its world-renowned cotton, as well as those coming from India and Italy.

You'll find this and more during this long weekend at the Baja California Center. Gates will be open from 10:30 AM to 7 PM from Friday, March 15 until Monday, March 18. Admission and parking is completely free and it is a family friendly event.
