Dollar is selling at 16.30 pesos in Tijuana, will it reach 15?

The last time the US dollar cost 15 Mexican pesos was in 2014

The peso has had an amazing streak in the last few days and, currently, in the city of Tijuana, exchange houses are selling each dollar at 16.30 pesos, though depending on the shop, it varies a few cents.

Exchange houses located in Bulevar Agua Caliente revealed these numbers in the morning of April 1, 2024. These exchange houses are relatively close to the border area, which is why they are an excellent option to exchange your money if you're crossing into the United States.

Will the dollar reach 15 pesos?

So far, it is impossible to predict this. However, it would be amazing as the last time the US dollar cost 15 Mexican pesos it was in 2014. It should be stated that exchange rates vary constantly due to several economic and political factors, which is why this information could change at any point.

Uncertainty among those who work in the United States

Though Mexican people tend to celebrate that dollars cost less, the truth is that American citizens who live in Tijuana don't celebrate it because it means that they have to spend more, as prices in pesos are fixed and their income goes down.

So far, prices at exchange houses range between 16.30, 16.33, and 16.35.
