Repair works will take place on Thursday, June 6

Montserrat Caballero Ramírez, head of the 24th Municipal Administration, revealed that maintenance and repair work of the Municipal Palace dome has begun with an estimated investment of $34 million pesos.

Senior Official Marcelo de Jesús Machain Servín revealed that, according to the preventive project, starting on Thursday, June 6, citizens will be able to continue their daily procedures as safety measures have been implemented so that they can enter with a certain amount of logistics.

He said that starting at 8 AM, direct assistance agencies will have a tent installed outside the building with staff from each area so that they can deliver turns and organize groups of 5 people to enter.

The official explained that all safety measures set by the head of the Agency of Civil Protection were followed which will benefit assistance to the public.

In addition, he said that corridors and rest areas must be free so that work can be carried out. On the first and second floors, plastic curtains will be placed on hallways as a protective measure.

On Wednesday afternoon, a wooden wall was placed around the central patio to close direct access to this area; the two elevators will function normally.
