The internets search engine giant, Google, is planning to build an airport in San Jose, California. A project that will cost around $82 million dollars and that could be finished in less than two years.
If approved by the city council, the new airport would be built in a former parking lot next to the International Airport in Mineta San Jose, CA, who also confirmed the proposal in a statement.
Currently, Google has several private jets that are kept in the Moffett airfield, a military airport. If this project is approved and is carried out, then the airport could be possibly shared with other private companies.
When this project is finalized, it is estimated that San Jose, CA, would benefit financially from it in the amount of $2.6 million dollars due to the creation of of new jobs.
