International chains are betting on the border city

Yesterday morning there was a press conference to present "Paseo Chapultepec", which is a new culinary plaza in Tijuana that will be bringing together the best flavors for the inhabitants of the border region.

With an investment of 14 million dollars, "Paseo Chapultepec" has become a sign of the good times that the city of Tijuana is going through in regards to public safety, and where now a new wave of various food chains will have their first branches ever in the region.

Chili's restaurant opened their doors here in the city last week, and predicted success for their 40 companions which include other restaurants like Thai, Barezzito, Cabanna, California Pizza Kitchen, City Salads, just to name a few. In the coming weeks Tijuana will be able to enjoy delicious dishes and the world of superheroes in "Comicx" and the taste of Italy in "Piola".

The President of the Bustamante Realty Group, Hector Bustamante, was on hand to describe the big list of great qualities that Paseo Chapultepec has. He was accompanied by Miguel Velasco Bustamante, Secretary of Economic Development of Tijauna, and the Architect Jorge Tallaeche who serves as the director for the "Paseo Chapultepec".

"Paseo Chapultepec" adds to a historic year in Tijuana, where 2013 will be the year that this border town will have the largest investment in its history. With 40 stores, 700 parking spaces and 64 security cameras, this new venue will create about 700 new jobs and a large economic impact.

Finishing touches on the construction of "Paseo Chapultepec" are expected to culminate in two months, but diners can already start to visit it and get to know some of the flavors that are currently being offered at this square, which is located on Avenida Sonora in Tijuana.
