9th Stage of Chocolatería Antonella Cycling Cup Set to Take Place This September in Rosarito

IMDER and COTUCO Rosarito invite all cycling enthusiasts to the 9th Stage of Chocolatería Antonella Cycling Cup 2026.

The Municipal Institute of Sport of Playas de Rosarito (IMDER) and COTUCO Rosarito invite the community to the 9th Stage of the Chocolatería Antonella Cycling Cup 2026 in Rosarito on Sunday, September 13, at the Barsac Industrial Park, promising a day of high-speed competition and community spirit.

The 2K race features different categories:

8:00 a.m. | Children’s: A Male, A Female, B Male, B Female | Duration: 3 laps
8:30 a.m. | Male Beginner, Male Novice, 110 KG, Female Beginner, Female Novice | Duration: 4 laps
9:05 a.m. | Female 3rd Division, Fem. Junior B, Fem. Junior A | Duration: 30 min + 1 lap
9:50 a.m. | Master 60, 3rd Division, Junior A | Duration: 30 min + 1 lap
10:35 a.m. | 2nd Division, Junior B | Duration: 40 min + 1 lap
11:30 a.m. | Master 40, Master 50 | Duration: 40 min + 1 lap
12:25 p.m. | Female Elite, Fem. Under 22, Fem. 2nd Division, Fem. Junior C | Duration: 40 min + 1 lap
01:20 p.m. | Elite Male, Under 22 Male, Junior C Male | Duration: 70 min + 1 lap

A total of $35,000 pesos ($2,042 USD) in cash prizes will be distributed among category winners. Additionally, riders will battle for an extra $5,000 pesos ($292 USD) across 10 bonus sprints, with $500 pesos ($30 USD) awarded to the first cyclist to cross each designated sprint point.

These sprints do not affect the overall stage winner, but they add an extra layer of strategy and excitement, rewarding explosive efforts throughout the race.

Registration fees

  • General: $600 pesos ($35 USD)
  • Juniors: $400 pesos ($23 USD)
  • Beginners: $400 pesos ($23 USD)
  • Novices: $300 pesos ($18 USD)
  • Children: $300 pesos ($18 USD)

Top three finishers in each category will receive medals, while adult winners will compete for 6 jerseys, and children’s champions will take home 3 jerseys.
