Families across Baja California can now access free medical consultations, dental care, diagnostic testing, and prescription medications through the state’s Wellness Clinics, currently operational in Mexicali, Tijuana, Ensenada, Playas de Rosarito, and San Quintín.

Led by Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda and administered through the Secretariat of Well-Being, the initiative aims to broaden healthcare access, emphasize preventative care, and support the state’s most vulnerable populations.

Clinics are offering ultrasounds, clinical lab sample collection, colposcopies, Pap smears, and mammograms. Patients can also receive optometry exams with free prescription eyeglasses, as well as on-site pharmacy services to fulfill covered medications at no cost.

Felipe de Jesús Gamboa Valdez, Secretary of Well-Being, highlighted that the strategy is designed to facilitate early disease detection while eliminating the financial and logistical hurdles that often prevent families from seeking timely treatment.

Care across all facilities is free, direct, and voluntary. To receive treatment, adult residents must present a copy of an official photo ID and their CURP at their nearest clinic. Minors are required to present corresponding identification documentation.

Details regarding the locations of all seven clinics, phone numbers, and location-specific services are available on the official communication channels of the State Ministry of Well-Being.

Through the Wellness Clinics initiative, the Baja California government continues to strengthen preventive healthcare and fulfill its commitment to the state’s shared well-being.
