To better serve both international travelers and local residents, the Baja California Secretariat of Tourism is currently operating 12 permanent information and visitor information centers across the state’s seven primary tourist destinations to promote attractions, experiences, and highlight diverse itineraries throughout Baja California.

According to Tourism Secretary Miguel Ángel Badiola Montaño, the outreach network spans mobile units, dedicated service offices, seasonal pop-up locations at high-traffic spots, regional branch offices, and the secretariat’s primary headquarters at the Baja California Center.

“Our service points are designed just as much for our guests as they are for Baja California residents,” he said. “It’s vital that locals explore and appreciate the incredible tourism offerings right in our region. Discovering our state’s beauty is a key way to celebrate our identity and local pride.”

At each service point, visitors can access bilingual printed and digital resources, available in both English and Spanish, covering popular travel routes and major regional highlights. On-site staff are available to answer travel queries, offer tailored recommendations, and direct complaints or administrative requests to the proper authorities.

For international travelers, there’s the Know Before You Go guide, a practical resource featuring essential travel tips, emergency hotlines, and clear guidance on local traffic regulations and procedures.

In addition, regional offices in Tijuana, Mexicali, Ensenada, and Valle de Guadalupe assist tourism businesses with administrative processes. These include registrations for the National Tourism Registry and State Tourism Registry, quality seal certifications, and participation in state programs aimed at bolstering the regional tourism economy.
