Baja California has unveiled a fresh tourism campaign rooted in highlighting the region’s connection between its landscapes, its culture, and its experiences. Called “Baja California Is for You” (Baja California Es Para Ti), the initiative seeks to reframe the destination through a more personal lens where travel is built on identity, gastronomy, and the stories of local communities.
At the campaign’s launch, Tijuana-born singer Julieta Venegas performed an acoustic version of her song “Eres para mí,” a track that now serves as the strategy’s musical heartbeat, underscoring the warmth and character that Baja California aims to project.
The initiative aims to promote travel that goes beyond sightseeing to connect with the essence of Baja California, from its farmlands and coastline to its kitchens and communities.
The strategy, led by Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda and joined by Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, brought together representatives from the state’s tourism, culinary, cultural, and business sectors to share a vision that centers on the people, communities, and experiences that distinguish Baja California in Mexico and the world.
The vision stems from the conviction that Baja California is not experienced the same way by everyone. Each visitor finds something different in its landscapes, its gastronomy, its wines, its nature, and the warmth of its people.

“Because in Baja California, we understand something very important. True luxury does not begin at the table. It begins in the land. It begins in the sea. It begins in the countryside. It begins in the hands of our people,” the governor said.
Under that philosophy, the campaign projects a Baja California where extraordinary experiences aren’t reserved for a select few, but are shared and enjoyed through the region’s natural, culinary, cultural, and human wealth.
As part of the event, a “Harmonization of the Peoples” ceremony was held, led by representatives of the Pai Pai, Kumiai, Cochimí, and Cocopah communities. The gathering recognized the ancestral roots that enrich the state’s cultural diversity and identity.
Officials also debuted the campaign’s main commercial, set to Venegas’ new acoustic arrangement of “Eres para mí.”
The adaptation was conceived specifically for the strategy, accompanying a narrative that portrays Baja California as deeply human, diverse, and welcoming, a place capable of forging a unique bond with each visitor.

“We are deeply grateful and proud to have Julieta Venegas on this project. Her voice, her career, and the affection she has always shown for Baja California help us share the essence of our land and our people,” Governor Marina del Pilar added.
The launch also featured a gastronomic showcase with some of the state’s leading culinary figures, including Javier Plascencia, Marcelo Hisaki, Drew Deckman, Paulina Deckman, Miguel Ángel Guerrero, Benito Molina, Solange Muris, Ruffo Ibarra, Adriana Montaño, Janina Garay, Ángel Beltrán, and Giannina Gavaldón. They were joined by sommelier Judith Medrano and master brewer Eugenio Romero. The evening’s musical atmosphere was provided by Baja Californian DJ Fabricio Zamora.
“Gastronomy here begins in the sea, in the countryside, in the vineyards, in the wineries, in craft beer, and in the hands of those who produce, cook, ferment, and tell stories through flavor,” said federal Tourism Secretary Josefina Rodríguez Zamora.
Miguel Ángel Badiola Montaño, Baja California’s Secretary of Tourism, framed the campaign as an invitation.
“Talking about Baja California means talking about a diverse, close-knit, and deeply hospitable land, where each person finds a unique experience and, at the same time, a way of feeling welcomed. ‘Baja California is for You’ is born precisely from this: from showing who we are and sharing the way we live and welcome those who come to our land,” he said.
The presentation reaffirms Baja California’s position as one of Mexico’s most dynamic tourism destinations which has been recognized for its world-class gastronomy, wines, natural riches, cultural expressions, and the talent of the people who have made the state a benchmark of innovation, creativity, and hospitality.
