Urban maintenance efforts in recreational areas across the San Antonio de los Buenos, Playas, and Downtown districts have resulted in more than 7,500 citizens benefiting from the “Tijuana: Clean City” program, an initiative led by Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz.

The campaign kicked off in the San Antonio de los Buenos district, where crews carried out urban maintenance at the Niños Héroes neighborhood park. Work included cleaning and weeding a 600-square-meter area and removing three tons of garbage.

Meanwhile, in the Playas de Tijuana district, crews used motor graders on Hacienda Santa Cristina Street in the Patriotismo neighborhood, covering 3,000 square meters. Six LED lights were also installed, positively impacting about 1,000 local residents.

In Downtown, workers focused on cleaning and hillside weeding along a 400-square-meter stretch of the Javier Batiz Ramp in the Altamira neighborhood. During this operation, crews collected two tons of heavy trash and repaired one streetlight, benefiting more than 3,500 people.
