Baja California Restaurants Shine in 2026 Michelin Guide

17 restaurants in Baja California have earned recommendations and distinctions in the 2026 Michelin Guide Mexico.

Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, alongside the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (Canirac), extended her congratulations to the state’s chefs following the announcement that several restaurants earned recommendations in the 2026 Michelin Guide Mexico.

In a statement shared on social media, she emphasized that Baja California’s culinary success is driven by talent, creativity, and a deep passion for the craft.

“The skill, innovation, and love for gastronomy demonstrated by Baja California’s chefs have earned their restaurants a place in the Michelin Guide. A distinction that celebrates excellence and quality, and one that has positioned our state as a benchmark in the culinary world,” the governor said.

She further noted that the chefs’ dedication continues to attract attention to the region’s rich food culture.

“Their work allows more people to discover that Baja California is a destination made for you. Congratulations to all our chefs!” she added.

Baja California’s Strong Showing in the 2026 Michelin Guide

The 2026 edition of the Michelin guide features 17 recommended restaurants from Baja California, spread across key municipalities, including Tijuana, Ensenada, Mexicali, and the renowned Valle de Guadalupe.

The restaurants included in the 2026 Michelin Guide are:

  • Madre
  • Manzanilla

  • Ophelia
  • Oryx
