Baja California has been chosen as the host state for the 2027 National Public Innovation Congress NovaGob, an event that will further consolidate the region’s reputation as a frontrunner in innovation and digital public services across Mexico.
Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda underscored the strategic importance of the congress, noting that such events place Baja California in the national spotlight by showcasing its advanced use of digital tools to streamline citizen-government interactions and deliver public services that are faster, more accessible, and more efficient.
The Digital Window BC platform, developed by the Baja California Digital Agency, received a distinguished award in the Digital Transformation category. This tool enables residents to complete a wide range of official procedures online from vehicle registration renewals to criminal background certificate requests, eliminating unnecessary travel and significantly reducing waiting times.
The NovaGob 2027 congress is expected to draw a diverse audience of specialists, authorities, technology leaders, and sector representatives to exchange insights and solutions aimed at strengthening public sector performance.
For the state government, hosting Novagob will provide a platform for broadening the dialogue around best practices and knowledge-sharing to improve the quality of public services.
Gabriel Palombo, Director General of the Baja California Digital Agency, participated in the panel “Artificial Intelligence and Technologies at the Service of the Public Sector,” where he stressed that the congress offers a unique opportunity to unite talent, emerging technology, and fresh thinking to redefine how public management operates in the digital age.
By hosting Novagob, Baja California aims to project a forward-looking vision of innovation where technology directly translates into better opportunities and services for its citizens, strengthening Shared Well-Being by fostering a more responsive, efficient, and people-centered government.
