The iconic Lemon Festival returns to the heart of Chula Vista for its 28th edition. On Saturday, August 16, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the city’s historic downtown will transform into a lively gathering place for locals and visitors alike.

Once known as the “Lemon Capital of the World,” Chula Vista honors its citrus roots with this free, family-friendly tradition, where hundreds of vendors come together to showcase a delicious variety of food, desserts, and drinks—all with lemon as the star ingredient.

What can you expect at the Lemon Festival?

There’s more to the festival than just great food. Visitors can enjoy two stages featuring live music and entertainment throughout the day.

For the little ones, the Little Lemons Zone at Memorial Park will be full of excitement, with games, face painting, inflatables, and craft stations. Kids can also take a photo with Tarty the Lemon, show off their cooking skills in contests, and explore a wide range of local crafts and products.

“More than just a party, the annual Lemon Festival is a celebration of community,” said Dominic Li Mandri of the Downtown Chula Vista Association. “This festival has become a true symbol of our vibrant community. It brings together neighbors, local businesses, and visitors from all over, united by a shared love of fun, flavor, and of course, lemons.”

The Lemon Festival takes place at 353 Third Avenue Village in downtown Chula Vista.
