What if dinner came with a view from 45 meters above Tijuana? That is the idea behind Dinner in the Sky Tijuana, a dining experience coming to Plaza Río this September.
The experience, organized by restaurant Cordero Negro under chef Rubén Zamora, will combine a three-course menu with an elevated setting high above the city.
Dinner in the Sky Tijuana will run from September 4 through September 27, with afternoon and evening sessions scheduled between 4 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., giving guests the opportunity to dine while watching the sunset.
Choose Your Dinner in the Sky Experience
Guests can choose from three different packages when booking through the official Dinner in the Sky website.
Tapas & Beer offers a 40-minute experience featuring savory and sweet tapas and canapés created by chef Zamora, paired with regional craft beer or local wine. The package costs $1,900 MXN.
TJ Cena (Dinner) includes a three-course menu by chef Zamora with a selection of premium regional wines. The experience lasts 60 minutes and costs $3,500 MXN.
Comida (Lunch) also lasts 60 minutes and features a three-course menu made with seasonal ingredients, accompanied by premium regional wines. The cost is $3,500 MXN.
A vegetarian option will also be available for guests with dietary preferences.
What to Know Before Going Up
The experience can accommodate up to 22 people at a time.
Dinner in the Sky says safety is one of the most frequently asked questions about the experience and states that it operates under international safety standards, using certified equipment and specialized personnel.
There is no bathroom at the dining platform, so guests will need to use one before or after the experience. The maximum individual weight is 130 kilograms.
Guests are allowed to record the experience, although they do so at their own risk.
One other detail to keep in mind before booking: tickets are non-refundable, while date changes depend on availability and applicable conditions.
