The delivery of Banco de Bienestar cards for the Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro (Youth Writing the Future) scholarship program—promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo—took place in Tijuana on Thursday, May 8. The event began with a cultural performance by students from Cecyte Zona Río, after which officials shared details about the distribution of the federal program’s banking cards.

Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda underscored the importance of equal opportunities across all socioeconomic levels, stating:

“Scholarships are sacred. Scholarships ensure that the child of the poorest has the same rights and opportunities as the child of the wealthiest.”

She added that support will be provided through bimonthly deposits of 5,800 pesos to Banco de Bienestar cards. Julio César, National Coordinator of Bienestar scholarships, told students that the grant is a reward for their efforts in pursuing academic goals.
