Imagine pulling into a car wash and coming face-to-face with terrifying monsters instead of the usual foam and spinning brushes. That is the chilling premise behind The Haunted Carwash, a seasonal attraction transforming a Carlsbad car wash into an immersive, horror-filled drive-thru.
Returning for the 2026 Halloween season, the event takes place at the Eco Friendly Auto Spa, offering thrill-seekers a unique way to experience a haunted house without ever stepping out of their vehicles.
Unlike traditional walk-through haunted houses, this terror-infused journey takes place entirely on wheels. As cars crawl through the wash, costumed scare actors jump out from the shadows, backed by synchronized sound effects, eerie lighting, and special effects engineered to keep passengers in constant suspense.
What Is The Haunted Carwash?
The experience blends live performance with lighting effects, including heavy fog, ambient noise, and unexpected scares along the route.
Organizers caution that the attraction is designed for intense thrills. Guests should prepare for pitch-black conditions, sudden strobe lighting, and severely reduced visibility.
Anyone planning to attend is welcome to bring friends and family, provided all passengers remain inside the vehicle for the duration of the ride.
