As part of his ongoing tour across Baja California, Tijuana’s mayor on leave, Ismael Burgueño Ruiz, continues to engage with local communities to promote the ideals of the Fourth Transformation (4T). His most recent stop was in San Quintín, where he carried forward President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo’s call to vigorously defend Mexico’s national sovereignty, a principle he described as essential to the transformation project.
During a public assembly in the region, Burgueño stressed the importance of spreading the President’s message to every corner of the state, from urban centers to rural communities and ejidos. He argued that fostering a shared national vision rooted in dignity and unity requires not only government action but also an informed and engaged citizenry committed to safeguarding the country’s independence.
Burgueño, who is vying for the State Coordination in Defense of the Transformation and National Sovereignty, reiterated that President Sheinbaum has consistently advocated for international cooperation based on mutual respect, equality, and non-subordination. By bringing this message to Baja California, he said, the movement can strengthen its collective resolve to prioritize the interests of the Mexican people.
San Quintín represents a key stop on this broader state-wide tour, through which Burgueño aims to maintain direct dialogue with residents, listen to their concerns, and reaffirm the core values of the movement. He emphasized that meaningful transformation is only possible when national issues, such as sovereignty, become part of everyday conversation at the local level.
Reaffirming his full support for President Claudia Sheinbaum, Burgueño pledged to continue touring Baja California in the coming weeks to further consolidate unity across the territory and advance the cause of a free, sovereign Mexico capable of charting its own course.
