Ismael Burgueño Ruiz convened a meeting with Morena militants and supporters at the Ibargo Hall in Mexicali, as part of a series of Informational Assemblies he is leading across Baja California. During the gathering, he stressed the importance of preserving party unity and safeguarding Mexico’s sovereignty, and reaffirmed his commitment to the Transformation project.
The aspiring coordinator for the Defense of the Transformation and National Sovereignty described these assemblies as essential tools for strengthening the movement’s organizational structure and fostering ongoing, direct communication with party members throughout the state.
In his address, Ismael Burgueño framed the Fourth Transformation as a project that requires continuous input from militants, supporters, and citizens alike. He argued that defending the movement means upholding core principles including being close to the people, social justice, unity, and a focus on the most vulnerable while also effectively communicating the tangible achievements of Morena-led governments. Across his tours, he has consistently maintained that these assemblies enable meaningful dialogue with communities and strengthen the project at the local level.
Burgueño also linked this organizational work to the broader mission of defending national sovereignty, asserting that Mexico must retain full autonomy in charting its own future. He advocated for a defense rooted in dialogue, civic organization, and well-founded reasoning.
“Let us continue defending our country, our history, and everything we have built so far,” he has said during his travels, urging party members to close ranks and ensure that internal disagreements do not overshadow the collective mission.
Concluding his remarks, the Morena member voiced unwavering support for President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo’s national project and affirmed that his ongoing tours are intended to spread the advances of the Transformation while ensuring its continuity in Baja California. For Burgueño, the current situation demands that the militancy remains organized, that the movement’s founding principles are preserved, and that the movement defends sovereignty and the national project led by the President.
