Ismael Burgueño Ruiz has underscored the importance of unity and collaborative effort as essential pillars for preserving public confidence in Morena and advancing the Fourth Transformation project in Baja California. As the party prepares for its internal process to designate the State Coordination in Defense of the Transformation, Burgueño called on members and sympathizers to set aside personal aspirations and close ranks in support of the movement’s broader objectives.
During a series of informational assemblies and tours across the state’s municipalities, Burgueño reiterated that Morena’s true strength resides in its grassroots base, people who actively engage from their neighborhoods and communities and in the party being close to the people.
“It is vital that we remain united and stand together; without unity, we have nothing,” he stated, emphasizing that internal dialogue and organization are key to forging a shared path forward for Baja California.
The mayor of Tijuana, currently on leave, maintained that the electorate’s backing of Morena in the region is closely tied to tangible outcomes that residents experience in their daily lives. Throughout his visits, he noted, he has gathered firsthand accounts of the positive impact of federal initiatives, including the universal pension for seniors, the Benito Juárez scholarships for high school students, and the Rita Cetina scholarship, alongside infrastructure and social welfare projects implemented across various municipalities.
Ismael Burgueño also claimed that sustaining these achievements demands a commitment to the movement’s foundational principles that gave rise to Morena. He recalled that the party was built through the collective participation of thousands of individuals from its earliest days, each contributing from their own position to reinforce the broader vision. He stressed that the core tenets of not lying, not stealing, and not betraying the people must continue to guide the conduct of all those affiliated with the movement.
Lastly, Burgueño stated that the internal selection process should be carried out with political maturity and mutual respect among contenders, as the overarching priority remains strengthening the party’s internal governance and sustaining its service to the citizenry.
“What matters most is the project of the Fourth Transformation,” he said, adding that unity will be a determining factor in ensuring Baja California continues to advance with an agenda centered on welfare, social justice, and community engagement.
