Mexican Navy Training Ship Cuauhtémoc Arrives in San Diego and Opens to Public

The Mexican Navy's sailing training ship will welcome visitors for free from October 2 through 4 at the Port of San Diego.

A Mexican Navy sailing ship has arrived in San Diego, where visitors will have the opportunity to step aboard and explore the vessel for free through October 4.

The ARM Cuauhtémoc, a training ship operated by the Mexican Navy, arrived at the Port of San Diego on Thursday, October 1, drawing dozens of people who gathered along the waterfront to welcome the vessel and its crew.

The arrival was met with claps, cheers and people singing “Cielito Lindo” as the Mexican flag flew from the ship while it approached the port.

The Cuauhtémoc Will Be Open to Visitors

Following its arrival, the ship will open to the public for three days.

Visitors can board the vessel without making a reservation, although they will need to follow the crew’s instructions during the visit.
