Ismael Burgueño Ruiz declared that Baja California has firmly established itself as one of the strongest bastions of the Fourth Transformation (4T), pointing to Morena’s electoral victories and the widespread public approval of the party’s social programs across the state.

Speaking during a recent series of informational assemblies, Burgueño highlighted that Morena has secured four straight electoral processes in Baja California with commanding margins. He described the assemblies as a key vehicle for spreading the Transformation message to even the most remote communities throughout the region.

The mayor on leave from Tijuana tied this sustained political support directly to tangible benefits that have reached the state since 2018, many of which have been carried forward under the administration of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo. Among the measures he cited were the minimum wage hike, the reduction of value-added tax in border zones, expanded pensions for senior citizens, student scholarship programs, and infrastructure projects such as the Rosario Castellanos National University and the Tijuana Elevated Viaduct.

For Burgueño, who is vying for the party’s State Coordination role, these achievements come with a heightened sense of responsibility for those involved in Morena’s ongoing internal selection process.

“We must never lose sight of the fact that the Fourth Transformation project comes first,” he remarked, stressing that collective effort and party unity are essential to avoiding internal discord and ensuring that social gains continue to reach the population.

He also said that his fellow contenders are comrades in a shared cause and the process must be carried out with respect.

“What matters most is unity, teamwork, and closing ranks,” he reiterated.

From his perspective, the informational assemblies should serve to reinforce the political ground Morena has gained in Baja California, sustain a direct connection with local communities, and provide continuity of the 4T national project, which must take precedence over individual ambitions, with the well-being of Baja California families remaining the benchmark of success.
