Authorities from both the state and municipal governments have announced a joint Services Fair and Consular Day aimed at providing free procedures, legal consultations, and support services to migrants, foreign residents, and the general public. The event is scheduled to take place on July 17 at the Playas de Rosarito City Hall.

The initiative was unveiled during a press conference held at the Castillos del Mar complex, where officials detailed that the fair will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Participating consulates include those of the United States, Guatemala, Haiti, and El Salvador, alongside various agencies representing all three levels of government.

Irán Leonardo Verdugo, Secretary of Economic Development and Tourism for Playas de Rosarito, emphasized that the event is the result of coordinated efforts between City Hall, the State Government, and foreign consulates to streamline access to essential services for both residents and transient populations.

“Rosarito is not only a popular destination for national and international visitors, but also a community where many choose to put down roots. For this reason, we are committed to bringing services directly to those in situations of mobility, as well as to foreign residents,” Verdugo said

He further explained that the fair will eliminate the need for attendees to travel to other cities for consular matters, offering instead a one-stop venue where they can receive guidance, initiate new procedures, or follow up on ongoing cases.

“Beyond hosting consular representatives, our goal is to provide meaningful advice and enable people to manage multiple processes in a single location,” he added.

María José Juárez, Director of Migratory Affairs for the General Secretariat of Government, noted that the primary focus is to offer hands-on support and clear orientation regarding immigration-related questions.

“We want attendees to find the answers they need, whether that involves starting a regularization process or resolving other migratory concerns,” she said.

The fair will also feature participation from a broad range of institutions, including the Secretariat of Health, the Civil Registry, the Women’s Justice Center, the Secretariat of Public Safety, and the Secretariat of Well-Being. These agencies will provide assistance with birth certificate issuance, health screenings, legal counsel, employment opportunities, entrepreneurship support, and other resources available to both Mexican citizens and foreign nationals living in the region.

Local authorities have encouraged all interested individuals to take full advantage of the event, which consolidates governmental and consular services under one roof in an effort to simplify access to specialized attention and procedures.
