The San Diego-Tijuana Jazz Festival returns to Avenida Revolución this weekend, launching an expansive four-day cultural showcase that unites the binational community through music, community engagement, and gastronomy.
Running from October 1 to 4, the cross-border event highlights the vibrant jazz scene and honors prominent artists from both Mexico and the United States, captivating audiences on both sides of the border.
Where Will San Diego-Tijuana Jazz Festival Performances Take Place?
The festival kicks off on Thursday, October 1, at Quartyard in San Diego. Doors open at 5 PM, with free admission available through advance registration on the official event website.
This day will feature the Binational Youth Ensemble from 5:30 PM to 6:10 PM, Colectivo Fronterizo with rapper Fémina Fatal from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, and Jungle Fire closing the evening from 8 PM to 9 PM.

On Friday, October 2, the San Diego-Tijuana Jazz Festival moves to Tijuana at 4th Street and Avenida Revolución. The evening features performances by Colectivo Fronterizo with Fémina Fatal from 5 PM to 6:15 PM, Señales Señales from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, and Charlie Chávez y su Afrotruko from 8 PM to 9 PM.
Activities shift on Saturday, October 3, to the California Center for the Arts in Escondido, with doors opening at 2 PM. Indoor stages require ticketed admission ranging from $54 to $90, while outdoor areas offer free access.
The Free Outdoor Stage hosts Charlie Chávez y su Afrotruko from 2 PM to 3:15 PM and Lucía y la Familia Gutiérrez from 5 PM to 6:15 PM. The Main Theater features Danilo Pérez with SDSU Jazz Ensembles from 3:30 PM to 4:45 PM, Mingus Dynasty from 6:45 PM to 8 PM, and Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band from 8:15 PM to 9:30 PM.

The San Diego-Tijuana Jazz Festival concludes on Sunday, October 4, returning to Tijuana with free admission beginning at 2 PM.
The final day opens with the Binational Youth Ensemble from 2 PM to 2:50 PM, followed by Lucía y la Familia Gutiérrez from 3:15 PM to 4:30 PM, Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band from 5 PM to 6:15 PM, and Mingus Dynasty from 6:40 PM to 7:55 PM. The festival closes with a final performance by Danilo Pérez and La Covacha Big Band from 8:15 PM to 9:30 PM.
