An abandoned local amusement park is transforming into a massive Halloween spectacle this fall as The Haunted Amusement Park returns, offering visitors a heart-pounding, one-mile walking trail packed with scare actors and immersive horror sets.
The outdoor attraction, known as the Scare Trail, opens Friday, September 25, and runs through November 1. The tour takes roughly 30 minutes to complete, with access to all trail attractions included in the general admission ticket.
A Scare Trail Full of Graveyards, Zombies, and Haunted Houses
The interactive experience features a sprawling lineup of themed zones including CarnEvil, 3D-illuminated bumper cars, the Spinning Vortex Tunnel, Devil’s Tunnel, the Freak Show Maze, the House of Curiosities, and The Haunted Manor.
The adventure continues through the Mausoleum Graveyard, The Witch’s Cottage, Spider Cave, Pumpkin House, Zombie Land, The Slaughter House, and the Farm Yard Massacre, along with designated photo-op zones.
The trail features live scare actors, graphic scenes of gore, loud sound effects, prolonged darkness, and special effects designed to startle visitors.
Not a Tour for Kids
The attraction is not recommended for children under 10. Infants, toddlers, and strollers are strictly prohibited. The course also uses fog machines, strobe lighting, laser effects, tight squeezes, and pitch-black passages.
Additionally, event organizers advise pregnant individuals and those with specific medical conditions to refrain from entering.
Because the Scare Trail traverses rugged, uneven terrain including stairs, ramps, steep inclines, sand, gravel, and dirt closed-toe shoes are mandatory. High heels and sandals will not be permitted on the trail. Concessions and merchandise will be available for purchase inside the venue.
Weather Policies and Ticketing
In the event of severe weather or unforeseen closures, updates will be posted directly to the event’s official social media channels.
While all ticket sales are final and non-refundable, purchased tickets may be redeemed on an alternate operating date. Visitors already standing in line at the official closing time will be allowed to complete the experience.
