The San Quintín Justice Plan continues to make steady progress, with electrification projects, social aid programs, and vocational training efforts now reaching communities that have long faced historical neglect to improve the community’s quality of life.
A total of 59.9 million pesos has been allocated to bring electricity to San Francisco Kino, El Olivo, Nueva York, Los Cabos, Isabel Andrade, and Parcela 16. Work in these communities has involved the installation of utility poles, service masts, cabling, transformers, and public lighting.
In the Parcela 16 neighborhood, part of the Emiliano Zapata district, construction is now 98% complete. The investment of 2.7 million pesos will directly benefit 60 households, reaching approximately 300 residents.
Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda also stated that her administration has also signed a contract with the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) valued at around 130 million pesos to boost San Quintín’s overall power capacity, enabling further grid expansions in the future.
This enhanced energy infrastructure is expected to support key long-term development projects, including a planned desalination plant. The governor noted that the state has committed roughly 1.5 billion pesos to energy, electrification, water wells, and related hydraulic works.
During her latest visit to San Quintín, Governor Marina del Pilar also presided over a ceremony recognizing 100 women who completed training courses at the Well-Being Integration Center that equipped participants with practical skills in various trades, empowering them to boost their incomes and families’ well-being.
Secretary of Well-Being, Felipe de Jesús Gamboa Vázquez, described the center as a community-focused space designed to foster personal and professional growth that gives people the tools they need to build a better future.
In addition, the government distributed 26 productive aid packages, 6 wheelchairs, and 10 housing material aid grants, which are part of the more than 200,000 aid packages that have been delivered to San Quintín residents over the course of the current state administration.
