In an effort to promote sports, community engagement, and civic participation, Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz officially inaugurated “Baja Fut Fest” on Thursday. The event will transform the city’s iconic Revolución Avenue into a vibrant hub for family-friendly entertainment and football fandom.
Created through a joint effort between the Municipal and State governments, the “Baja Fut Fest” aims to provide children, teens, and soccer enthusiasts with a high-quality sporting experience during the World Cup.

“This Thursday, our historic Revolución Avenue is proud to serve as one of the state’s official ‘Baja Fut Fest’ venues,” said Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz during the opening ceremony. “For 39 days, the families of Tijuana will have a place to come together and share in the excitement and intensity of the world’s most important international tournament.”
The mayor emphasized that the event is designed to foster both family and community togetherness through football-themed activities. He also called on local residents to rally behind the Mexican National Team, showcasing to the world the passion and hospitality that define Tijuana.

Running from June 11th through July 19th, Revolución Avenue will host a variety of soccer-related events, providing a central meeting point to celebrate the thrill of the sport and reinforce community unity.
The inauguration was attended by Secretary of Government Ramón Vázquez Valadez, City Auditor Teresita Balderas Beltrán, members of the City Council, municipal officials from Tijuana’s 25th City Hall, and members of the general public.
