The Committee of Tourism and Conventions (COTUCO) of Playas de Rosarito promotes this variety of events as part of the destination’s tourism and recreational offerings.
Here are some of the activities taking place throughout September and during the Labor Day weekend.
Arco Rappel Rosarito: An Adventure in Popotla
If you’re looking for an adrenaline-filled experience, Arco Rappel Rosarito offers the chance to descend rocky surfaces using ropes and a safety harness in the Popotla area.
The activity is available on several dates in September, giving visitors multiple opportunities to experience rappelling in the area.

Digital Drawing Workshop
The Digital Drawing Workshop welcomes participants of all experience levels who want to learn digital illustration using tools such as Procreate and Photoshop.

Guelaguetza Rosarito 2026
A celebration of Oaxacan culture is coming to Rosarito with Guelaguetza Rosarito 2026. The family-friendly event will feature traditional dances, Oaxacan cuisine and handicrafts, bringing color and cultural traditions to the city.

Deportes AM: Free Sports Training
Young people can stay active with Deportes AM, a program sponsored by the Municipality Sports Institute that offers free training in soccer, basketball, volleyball and handball.

Labor Day at Papas&Beer
Rosarito will celebrate Labor Day weekend with the Labor Day Beach Bash 2026 at Papas&Beer.
The event will offer a special promotion for groups of friends, with access available through the Baja Crew Pass, designed for those attending together during the holiday weekend.

Baja’s Best Arts & Crafts Festival
Art, crafts and music will come together at the Baja’s Best Arts & Crafts Festival, where visitors can enjoy different artistic and handmade expressions alongside musical performances.

Cumbia during the sunset
Get ready for an evening of cumbia during the sunset at Cumbia al Atardecer Vol. 2, featuring music by Sonora Dinamita along with food, drinks and an ocean view.

Don Pisto 5K race
Those looking for a more active way to spend their weekend can join the Don Pisto 5K, a race benefiting the Red Cross. The course will feature three prizes, and the first 500 people to cross the finish line will also receive a medal.

A Seaside Food and Wine Experience
