U.S. President Donald Trump launched a renewed attack on American immigration policy during a rally in Georgia, questioning why the United States does not attract more migrants from Nordic countries like Sweden, Denmark, or Norway.
Addressing a receptive crowd, Trump voiced frustration over current immigration patterns, asking, “Why do we always have to take people from sh*thouse countries?”, a remark that drew an immediate reaction from the audience.
During his speech, Trump highlighted Denmark’s historical geopolitical relationship with the U.S., referencing Greenland, while sharply criticizing immigration from nations including Haiti, Somalia, Libya, and Yemen.
Trump pointed to ongoing unrest in France, attributing the country’s social conflicts directly to its border policies. He argued that the French government has opened its doors to individuals who “hate” the nation and insisted that closing borders is the only effective solution.
“Do you know what you do with those people? You never let them into your country,” Trump said.
