The Tijuana Tourism and Conventions Committee (Cotuco) has officially unveiled the upcoming edition of Bike Fest 2026, a milestone 15th-anniversary gathering that promises to draw motorcyclists from both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. Scheduled for September 11 and 12, the event will take place at Plaza Santa Cecilia and the parking lot of Plaza Monumental in Playas de Tijuana.
Speaking at a press conference, Enrique Rangel Rodríguez, Cotuco’s Binational Liaison Manager, noted that Bike Fest’s 15-year run is a testament to the strong interest in activities that merge recreation, tourism, and community spirit, particularly among motorcycle enthusiasts in Baja California and Southern California.
“For 15 years, this event has successfully brought together riders and their families from both sides of the border,” Rangel said. “Throughout that time, participants have also shown a deep commitment to social causes, fostering philanthropic tourism. We are confident this year will be another resounding success.”
Gilberto Ávila, the festival’s lead organizer, described this edition as especially meaningful, given the 15th-anniversary milestone. Organizers anticipate over 2,000 attendees, who will enjoy a diverse lineup of contests, interactive activities, vehicle exhibitions featuring both motorcycles and cars, and a dynamic musical program spanning rock, cumbia, norteño, and mariachi.
“This year we’re celebrating Bike Fest’s quinceañera, and we want everyone to have a great time. We welcome motorcycles of every make and model, car clubs, and anyone who wants to join in this celebration we’ve been building for 15 years,” he said.
The festivities kick off on Friday, September 11, at 3:00 PM in Plaza Santa Cecilia, where attendees can take part in free activities and raffles before the traditional motorcycle caravan departs for Playas de Tijuana.
The following day, musical performances will begin at 4:00 PM, with standout acts including San Diego-based group Ángeles y Diablos, alongside classic rock bands, norteño ensembles, and a mariachi group.
Admission is set at $50 to $100 pesos ($3-$6 USD), with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Tijuana Fire Department. As part of the anniversary celebrations, organizers will also hold a raffle for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, with tickets priced at $200 pesos ($12 USD).
Also present at the announcement were event sponsors Manuel Briseño and Alfredo Martínez, along with Bike Fest deputy coordinator Sammy Luna.
