Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz led a visit and the official placement of the “Acorde” (Accompaniment and Compliance for Business Development) distinction at Industrias Eléctricas AG, S.A. de C.V., reinforcing the city’s commitment to economic development and regulatory compliance.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy to help companies thrive by simplifying administrative processes and ensuring they meet municipal regulations without disruption.

During the visit, the mayor emphasized the importance of creating favorable conditions for the growth and long-term stability of Tijuana’s industrial sector.

“We, the 25th City Hall of Tijuana, work to be a facilitating government, close to the productive sector and committed to driving economic development. We are generating the conditions for companies to continue growing,” the mayor stated.

Pedro Montejo Peterson, Tijuana’s Secretary of Economic Development, explained that the Acorde distinction guarantees companies are 100% compliant with municipal regulations.

“It is achieved through comprehensive support from various City Hall departments, ensuring everything is in order and fully up to date,” he said.

He added that the program provides investment certainty and peace of mind to businesses. Once enrolled, companies begin a regularization process guided by the Municipal Government, which exempts them from inspections while they complete their pending paperwork.

Alfonso Tirado, head of Special Projects at Industrias Eléctricas AG, expressed gratitude for the city’s support and for providing the necessary assistance to complete the process, placing the company among the first in the sector to earn this distinction.

Following the ceremony, Mayor Burgueño toured the company’s facilities alongside its executives to observe its operational and production areas. He then officially placed the “Empresa Acorde” plaque, a recognition designed to encourage administrative compliance and foster a business-friendly environment.
