In the daily update of COVID-19 cases, the Secretary of Health, Alonso Perez Rico, informed this Thursday morning, October 8, that Baja California registers 20 thousand and 57 positive coronavirus cases.
Of this total of cases, Mexicali is the municipality that reported most of them, after adding 9 thousand and 35, in addition to the 94 new cases that occurred in the state, 52 were located in this area, according to what was presented by Perez Rico.
In the case of deaths, the region has 3 thousand 616, with Mexicali and Tijuana being the two municipalities with most of these deaths.

The Health Secretary also mentioned that 12 thousand 416 Baja Californians have already won the battle against this disease, of which a little more than half are residents of the state capital.

According to Perez Rico, there are still 357 active cases in Baja California, which is why he invited people to continue with preventive measures despite the fact that the state is under the orange light of the epidemiological traffic chart.
