Former senator Samuel Garcia recently became the official candidate of the Movimiento Ciudadano political party to compete for the governorship of the state of Nuevo Leon.

"Samuel Garcia has fought for his land and for Mexico, Today we choose him as candidate for governor of Nuevo Leon because politics is built without young people," read a tweet from Movimiento Ciudadano.

Garcia Sepulveda, 33, confirmed his nomination immediately:

"Movimiento Ciudadano approved my candidacy for governor of Nuevo Leon. Let's go all out". In a second tweet he wrote: "We are on board. We do not jump ship or ally ourselves with our rivals".

The party's leader, Clemente Castañeda alluded that Samuel was a prepared young man, truly committed to his land and who has not failed to show his courage to defend his ideas.

Given that Samuel Garcia is not among the most popular people on social media due to his controversies and scandals, mostly related to his and his wife's recklessness, his account was filled with some negative comments and disapproval from internet users.
