More restrictions warned for Baja California: Secretariat of Health

Restrictions will be focused on places where agglomerations are observed, indicated Health authorities

The Secretariat of Health of Baja California informed last Monday about the new restrictions for hotels, event halls, restaurants and cafeterias, which were effective as of the same day.

However, the head of this agency, Alonso Perez Rico, confirmed this morning that more restrictions are coming for activities in the State that show agglomerations, all this in order to "protect our yellow (traffic light)," he said.

In addition to these restrictions, he assured that the capacity will also be reduced in several places, specifically in those where it is determined that "there are no conditions to continue".

The Secretary of Health explained that for the time being, the impact of active cases, the Effective Reproduction Rate and the incidence per 100 thousand inhabitants will be observed in the state.

At the same time, he said that the limitations of activities and capacity have to be implemented. "We have no other choice, otherwise we are going to last three months in red (traffic light) and nobody wants that", he said.

Due to the above, and in view of the forecast that the third wave of COVID-19 is approaching, the current objective of this secretariat, according to Perez Rico, is to vaccinate as quickly as possible and protect the population so that in three weeks there will be no regrets for not acting in time and form.
