Teacher vaccinations begin this Tuesday in Tijuana and Mexicali

Officially the vaccination to this population of Baja California begins on Wednesday with 11 points available.

Based on the authorization and logistics of vaccination for education personnel presented by the Federal Government, teachers in Baja California will be able to receive the drug against COVID-19 CansinoBIO from April 28 to May 4.

However, according to the State Secretary of Education, Mrs. Maria de Jesus Sanchez Avila, this process will begin on Tuesday, April 27th as part of a simulation drill, and will officially start on the established date.

On the other hand, the head of the Secretariat of Health of this Entity, Alonso Perez Rico, confirmed this morning, during his daily report, that although on Wednesday there will be 11 vaccination points that will be set up in all the municipalities for teachers to go for their antiCOVID vaccine, two will be available tomorrow, one in Tijuana and the other in Mexicali.

In Tijuana it will be at the Lazaro Cardenas Federal High School, and in Mexicali it will be at the Fairs, Events and Exhibitions Center (FEX).

Regarding the rest of the sites planned for the vaccination of education workers are:

  • Tijuana: Cbtis 237 (Florido Morita), Preparatoria Federal Lazaro Cardenas and Cbtis 146 of Playas de Tijuana.
  • Rosarito: UABC Rancho Altamira university extension.
  • Mexicali: Centro de Ferias, Eventos y Exposiciones (FEX), Cobach Plantel Baja California and Cecyte Xochimilco.
  • Tecate: UABC/Theater and School of Engineering.
  • Ensenada: High Performance Center (CAR).
  • San Quintín: Venustiano Carranza Elementary School.
  • Cedros Island: ISESALUD Health Center.

The vaccination of educational personnel, both from the public and private sectors, including collaborators from other areas, will be in alphabetical order of the paternal surname: first day from A-D, second day from E-L, third day from M-R, fourth day from S-Z; and there will be a fifth day where all those who did not attend on the days mentioned above will be vaccinated.

According to El Imparcial, those interested in receiving the vaccine against COVID, will receive in their institutional mails, a form that must be printed and filled out by hand with the requested information. Alternatively, they may download it from the official website of the Ministry of Education.

This form must be submitted to the vaccination site to be integrated into the data platform that will be created for this purpose.
