Baja California, with the exception of Mexicali, changed to green traffic light since last Monday, June 7, coloration that will continue until June 20, informed yesterday morning Alonso Pérez Rico, head of the Secretariat of Health of the State of Baja California.

This traffic light change has allowed the return of activities, such as massive events, and the capacity in different places to increase, such as churches, gyms, shopping centers, hotels, etc.

However, after seeing thousands of people crowded this weekend (the first in green color) in Playas de Tijuana, the Secretary was questioned about the capacity allowed in public spaces such as this one and if additional preventive measures will be implemented to avoid a spike in infections.

In response, Pérez Rico reminded the population that once the green light is on, parks, plazas and open public spaces can operate at 100% of their capacity.

But he emphasized: "this does not mean that we have to release the personal protection measures. What do I mean by this? they are 100% open but I have to bring my mask and take social distancing".

He also pointed out that if these spaces are to be kept open "we all have to take care of ourselves".
