Tacos With Muchachos has brought to viewers the gastronomic wonders that Baja California has to offer from carnitas tacos to seafood tacos, all the way to the classic of all classics, carne asada tacos, which were the ones tried on this occasion.

Scott Koenig, along with his “muchacho”, Francisco “Paco” Pérez went to “Tacos El Poblano” a taqueria located at La Mesa, Tijuana, which has over 40 years of experience. Its carne asada (grilled meat) has brought them a lot of attention throughout their existence in the city, where taquerias are a common sight in every corner of Tijuana.

It should be noted that despite the fact that there are several “Tacos El Poblano” all over Tijuana, these are the originals and this location was the first ever taqueria with that name. It is almost mandatory to try carne asada tacos here which is why Scott and Francisco highlighted the meat’s flavor, as well as the smoked coal taste that came from it. Scott said that if he had to rate these tacos, he would give them a 10.

Francisco brought a nice surprise for Scott when he gave him a carne asada tostada, which is made in coal fire. This means that the tortilla is impregnated with the smoked flavor, making its flavor so noticeable with each bite.
