Marina del Pilar activates aid for women entrepreneurs over the age of 50

This program provides work, property, and equipment capital aid for women over the age of 50 with economic activities registered at SAT

Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, the governor of Baja California, announced a new program for women over the age of 50 who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs or who already have an economic activity registered at the Tax Administration Service (SAT).

The state governor explained that this sunk cost aid will be $20,000 pesos, which means there is no obligation for the beneficiaries to pay back the loaned money.

Women represent an important business force, which is why when they reach their more mature age, they can contribute to the economy and continue developing. We want to help them through a program that recognizes their participation in the economy”, she said.

It should be noted that this program consists of access to aid through capital investments of work, property, or equipment through a direct payment to the provider for up to 20,000 pesos. This will be delivered only once individually to women of 50 years of age or older who have fulfilled all requirements and eligibility criteria.

For his part, the Secretary of Economy and Innovation of Baja California, Kurt Ignacio Honold Morales, underscored that those interested can look up the requirements and forms on this website: www.bajacalifornia.gob.mx/reactivabc. One should fill out the application form and submit legal paperwork: an official valid ID (INE or Mexican passport), a letter where one pledges to register at SAT, and, if necessary, documentary proof of their current tax situation that includes the applicant’s identification data, location, economic activity, economy designation, and obligations.

In addition, one also needs a recent proof of address or lease and quotes no older than 2 months old with the provider’s name, as well as photographic evidence of the business and/or products or services, if this is the activity carried out.

The official emphasized that this money won’t be able to be used for operational costs, promotional gifts, real estate, paperwork processes, food costs, transportation costs, leasing, travel allowances, lodging, passive payments, and any other concept that is not related to the direct execution of the project.

To conclude, Honold Morales stated that the projects will be evaluated by the Technical Committee of the Trust for the Economic Development of Baja California and the awarding of this aid will be as long as it is available, since the total amount that can be given will be 8 million pesos.
