Montserrat Caballero waves starting flag to begin reconstruction project of Calle Roble in Tijuana

Around 5 million pesos will be allocated for this project, which obtains resources from Ramo 23

Montserrat Caballero Ramírez, mayor of Tijuana, was the one in charge of waving the starting flag for the Calle Roble reconstruction project, something that had been requested by neighbors of Colonia Valle Imperial many years ago. It wasn't until the 24th Municipal Administration of Tijuana that a response was given.

In front of around 100 neighbors and alongside councilor Oscar Montes de Oca, the mayor and her cabinet continue to deliver projects and paving projects to provide wellbeing to families, something that previous administrations never did during the holiday season.

Caballero Ramírez stated that on this occasion, Calle del Roble, in delegation La Presa Abelardo L. Rodríguez will have an investment of more than 5 million pesos through Ramo 23. This is a program to regularize unauthorized imported "chocolate" cars and, through the saved money and the transparency managed by this administration, the goal was expanded to handle 8 extra projects with resources assigned by the government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador who supports them.

Accompanied by the Secretary of Territory, Urban, and Environmental Development (SDTUA), Enrique Bautista Corona, the mayor stated that among the total of these resources, estimated to be more than 14 million pesos, Calle Roble was considered, as it is a request by citizens that will benefit the neighbors of Colonia Valle Imperial and people who travel daily through this avenue.

Bautista Corona explained the technical details of this project that consist of placing hydraulic concrete to reconstruct 2,086 square meters, an achievement between the community and the current government supported by the president of Mexico.

According to the report by the Secretariat, in 2022 through Ramo 23, 21 projects were carried out with the total of resources allocated amounting to 207,567,225 pesos where 12 projects were contemplated regarding La Presa A.L.R.

In 2023, the head of SDTUA highlighted that more than 14 million pesos were allocated for three projects, one of which was Calle Paseo del Roble. Thanks to the good management of resources, an expansion of more than 40 million pesos for five more projects was authorized. In addition, concrete pavement is being added to Paseo del Bosque at Villa del Bosque and Calle Mexicali in Colonia Buenos Aires Norte.

Citizen representative, Claudia Enriquez, thanked the mayor for taking into account citizens' requests that favor the community and all the delegations to achieve a transformation for everyone.
