Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda met with President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo at the National Palace to review progress on Housing for Well-Being, a landmark federal initiative set to bring 80,000 new homes to Baja California.

The national summit brought together state governors and mayors from across the country to align strategies, streamline administrative procedures, and fast-track federal housing development.

For Baja California, the initiative marks a major step forward in expanding access to dignified, affordable homeownership through close coordination among federal, state, and local leadership.

“Addressing housing is essential to the quality of life for families in Baja California,” Governor Marina del Pilar stated. “Our goal is to continue expanding low-cost, accessible housing so that every family has the opportunity to build a secure financial legacy.”

Highlighting regional progress, the governor noted that Baja California’s own State Housing Plan has already delivered 42,000 homes to date.

By actively aligning local policies with federal efforts, the Baja California government aims to turn the vision of Shared Well-Being into long-term stability and security for thousands of families across the state.
