One of Disney’s most cherished classics is set to grace the San Diego stage this summer, as Beauty and the Beast The Musical makes its way to the San Diego Civic Theatre from July 7 through 13, 2026.
Located in the heart of downtown, the historic venue will host a production that marks the musical’s first North American tour in over 25 years, making it a highly anticipated event for both Disney enthusiasts and theater lovers alike.
A Beloved Tale, Reimagined
This fresh staging promises to breathe new life into the timeless story of Belle and the Beast, featuring all-new scenery, dazzling costume designs, and a reimagined production aesthetic. Audiences can look forward to beloved Academy Award-winning and Tony-nominated songs, including the iconic “Be Our Guest” and “Beauty and the Beast”.
The revival brings together key members of the original Tony-winning creative team, including composer Alan Menken, lyricist Tim Rice, and writer Linda Woolverton. Leading the production are director and choreographer Matt West, scenic designer Stanley A. Meyer, costume designer Ann Hould-Ward, and lighting designer Natasha Katz.
