Congresswoman Eva Moreno, currently on leave and a candidate to coordinate the defense of the Fourth Transformation and National Sovereignty in Baja California, believes that real unity is proven through actions. As such, she recognized President Claudia Sheinbaum’s leadership and urged the country’s political forces, including Morena, the Green Party, and the Labor Party, to work together to strengthen Mexican institutions, noting that the government’s efforts are aimed at the well-being, development, and security of the nation.
Eva Moreno also acknowledged Ariadna Montiel, national president of Morena, along with the leaders of the alliance’s partner parties.
“From Baja California, we stand firm, working with responsibility, conviction, and a commitment to our principles, close to the people, and joining forces so the transformation keeps moving forward. We have a project, we have a direction, and we keep building unity,” she said.
Over the past two years of President Sheinbaum’s administration, Baja California has seen significant investments and key projects in water infrastructure, mobility, health, and education.
Infrastructure and Water
Water Projects: Sanitation and infrastructure work in the border zone and San Quintín, plus the Rosarito desalination plant project.
Mobility: Completion of Tijuana’s elevated viaduct and improvements to federal roads.
Health and Education
Hospitals: A historic investment of more than 430 million pesos to strengthen the hospital network and strategic medical projects.
Higher Education: The announcement and construction of Rosario Castellanos National University campuses in Tijuana and Mexicali, along with expanded spaces in upper secondary education.
Social Welfare
Federal Programs: Consolidation of the Women’s Well-Being Pension (for women aged 60 to 64) and the universal Rita Cetina scholarship for students, among other initiatives.
