This August, Sonoma County will once again host the beloved Gravenstein Apple Fair, a beloved rural tradition that doubles as a vibrant music festival and a spirited celebration of local agriculture. First organized in 1973 by Sonoma County Farm Trails, the event has grown into the organization’s flagship fundraiser, drawing crowds each year at the height of the Gravenstein harvest season.
At the heart of the Gravenstein Apple Fair lies the renowned Gravenstein apple, an heirloom variety deeply rooted in the region’s agricultural heritage. Celebrated horticulturist Luther Burbank once hailed it as the most exceptional apple for its unparalleled flavor and culinary versatility. Attendees will be able to enjoy fresh apples, cider, juice, caramel apples, savory fritters, and much more.
The Gravenstein Apple Fair brings together a carefully curated lineup of musicians, chefs, artisans, farmers, and craft producers. With activities and attractions designed to appeal to all ages, the event offers something for everyone.
What You Need to Know
The Gravenstein Apple Fair will take place on Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9. General admission tickets grant access to all main fairground attractions. Craft tasting area and VIP lounge not included.
