The magic of Harry Potter is coming to one of San Diego’s most iconic outdoor venues, as The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park prepares to host a symphonic concert experience centered on the first film in the beloved saga.
Fans of the wizarding world will have the chance to relive the origins of Harry’s journey through a captivating blend of cinema and live music. The screening of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone will be accompanied in real time by the San Diego Symphony Orchestra, performing the legendary John Williams score under the baton of conductor Justin Freer.
The performance offers audiences a chance to once again follow Harry as he discovers his magical heritage on his 11th birthday and sets off for Hogwarts, all while the orchestra brings Williams’ iconic compositions to life in perfect synchronization with the film.
The concert will be presented on two dates: Friday, August 21, and Saturday, August 22, with both performances beginning at 7:00 p.m. in The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, located at 200 Marina Park Way in San Diego.
Tickets will be available for purchase through the San Diego Symphony Orchestra’s official website. The event is part of the venue’s summer programming and may also be included in select concert subscription packages.
