The San Diego Zoo is once again welcoming families this October with the return of its annual Kids Free promotion, allowing children 11 and under to enjoy free admission to both the San Diego Zoo and the Safari Park.
The offer is valid from October 1 through October 31, 2026. Children will not require a ticket, as long as they are accompanied by an adult 18 or older who holds a valid ticket, pass, or membership.
1 Adult, Up to 6 Children
A key perk of the program is that each paying adult may bring as many as six children ages 11 and under at no extra cost.
Children 2 and under, meanwhile, are admitted free year-round.
The promotion covers both the San Diego Zoo and the Safari Park and takes place every October in honor of the zoo’s founding.
HalGLOWeen Returns for the Season
October also brings a lineup of special activities to the San Diego Zoo with the return of HalGLOWeen.
The festivities will be held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the month, kicking off at 5:00 p.m.
On those evenings, the zoo will extend its operating hours and remain open until 9:00 p.m., giving families the opportunity to pair free children’s admissions with an evening of seasonal entertainment.
