Misión 19 Restaurant in Tijuana Announces Temporary Closure

The renowned Tijuana restaurant Misión 19 has announced a temporary closure of its facilities until further notice.

Through its social media channels, renowned restaurant Misión 19 stated that as of May 14, it has temporarily suspended service until further notice.

The decision is part of a remodeling and renovation process aimed at creating an even more pleasant space and the promise of an exceptional dining experience for its guests in the future. Additionally, in the statement, the restaurant expressed its gratitude and understanding:

“We deeply appreciate your loyalty and preference over these 14 years. Your support has been fundamental for us and drives us to keep innovating and improving. That’s why we are working hard to make this wait as brief as possible, so we can welcome you back to a renewed space with the same passion that has always defined us. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this process.”

Misión 19: A Gastronomic Landmark in Tijuana

Misión 19’s history has been marked by recognition for its culinary excellence.

In 2012, during his visit to San Diego Comic-Con, the late celebrity chef and TV host Anthony Bourdain was asked about a good place to dine in the region. He replied: “Personally, I’d drive to Tijuana and go to Misión 19.”

Since earning the Michelin Recommendation, Misión 19’s flavors and sustainable cuisine have continued to evolve in quality, thanks to the leadership of Chef Román Almaraz, who has constantly refined the restaurant’s ingredients and dishes.
